The Weekend’s tripple cd has gone gold selling 177,000 units. What? Wait? It’s gone gold on sort of a technicality as 177k is multiplied by the number of cds, so 177 x 3 = 531,000 albums sold.

I’m not sure why it’s done that way, I guess it make sense in an “old thinking” kind of way. We’ll know just wait for some rapper to doing an 8 song cds and package them as a double album to start doubling sales.
