Jay-Z on his road to a billy (that’s a billion for all yall slow folks) has inked a deal with Live Nation, a concert promotions/merchandising company, that helps artist monetize their music without relying on music sales -since album sales are in the toilet and only falling further down the pipe. Such established artists as U2 and Madonna have signed on with Live Nation to similar agreements, so it’s likely where the future of the music business is headed.
