So it looks like Kanye West does actually measure up to 50 Cent after all. Although Billboard wont release official sales numbers until next week. They are reporting that Kanye West’s “Graduation” is on track to scan anywhere between 575k to 700k units this week. How they are able to predict the future is anyones guess. However, they also see 50 Cent’s album “Curtis” doing about 500k to 600k this week.

So it looks as if the “David & Goliath” marketing plan worked like a charm for Kanye, not to mention his actual album is so much more fresher than 5-0’s. Oh yeah did we also mention that 50 Cent has failed to even chart any of his umpteenth singles on the billboard singles list? Let’s
see he’s had “Amusement Park”, “Straight to the Bank”, “I Get Money”, “Ayo Technology” and “Follow My Lead”. Kanye’s futuristic banger (which we think sounds uber gay) “Stronger” is #2.

However, lets not big Kanye up too much here, as Fifty has said numerous times to watch the second week sales of “Graduation” as he believes there will be a substantial decrease as he argues that Def Jam is buying all Kanye’s records 4 to 1. Which may explain why Kanye’s budget for “Goodlife” was spent on a breathtaking T-Pain appearance.
