Where’s Common’s Finding Forever? Where’s the Chi-town spirit? This lists seems to be a “marketing” list to me. You know how most rappers will mention they listen to music other than rap to seem cultured [sidebar: It all started with Hov saying he listened to Sarah Mclaughlin in ’98]. In Lupe’s case he mentions UGK and T-Pain to seem in line with the Southern heads, Chris Brown and Trey Songz for the ladies, Radiohead and Foo Fighters for the white folk and Jay-Z and Kanye -well hell they both made some good albums).
