Ludacris Going At Drake in New Song?

Ludacris Back to the First Time

Ludacris just released his new mixtape 1.21 Gigawatts: Back To The First Time which you can pick up here. While Ludacris has always been a bit of a cornball, in recent years he’s become a parody of his former self, especially with that cover art. On his new mixtape he’s trying to relive his past glories while trying to find his place in among the new crop of rappers. This evidently means means going at high profile rappers, in this case Drake.

On Luda’s track “Bada Boom” and it’s follow up “Say It To My Face” it seems like he’s responding to Drake’s comments a while back that Luda’s use of the hashtag flow wasn’t up to par (Luda used a line something like “I’m on a parade, Macy’s”, which is pretty horrible for the record). On “Bada Boom” Luda says “Counterfeit rappers say I’m stealing they flows” and then “You might not have liked how I’ve used it but you know you didn’t invent it”. Ludacris even has an interlude before the song called “History Lesson” where he plays a snippet of himself when he was kid using as he calls it the “stop and go flow”.

Listen to Ludacris’ “Bada Boom” below and let me know what you think?
