I do realize it’s my job to know what the hell a rapper says when he says it, but in this case I have no clue. Kanye gave an impromptu speech at the Watch The Throne tour stop in Chicago where he spoke on not getting nominated for Best Album of the Year.

While the crowd boo’d the terrible decision by the Grammy committee, Kanye said it was his fault for releasing Watch the Throne too close to My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy and that he should have “spaced them out a little”. I take this to mean he either was disqualified from the Best Album category for releasing two albums in the same voting period or that the committee just forgot about MBDTF. Then again, how could they have forgot about it when it was nominated 7 times in other categories? You can see why this whole Grammy business doesn’t make any sense.
