Eminem has officially signed Slaughterhouse, which isn’t really news considering rumors have been brewing for years. What may be surprising is that he also signed Yelawolf, but then again its not too surprising considering Yelawolf was on Interscope (Shady’s parent label) and was probably talked into “acquiring” the artist for marketing purposes by Jimmy Iovine.
Here’s what Marshall had to say about his latest acquisitions.
“Yelawolf and Slaughterhouse, it’s kinda phase two of Shady,” says Eminem. “It’s the new generation of Shady Records and as we’re trying to rebuild our label, it’s exciting for hip-hop and with all of these forces coming together and with what everybody’s capable of on the mic, it’s gonna be fun.”

It’s also not a surprise that they are all on the cover of next month’s XXL, considering Interscope pretty much owns XXL via advertising.
