At tonight’s American Music Awards, which we’re a pretty lackluster affair other than LMFAO’s closing performance, Drake performed “Headlines” backed by his band. The performance was pretty typical Drake with him flailing his arms about sporting Nike football gloves. What was interesting though, was that Drake changed up his rhymes on the last verse to say “If we talking ’bout the numbers, man it look like 700.” Which means that recent reports that Drake’s first week sales for Take Care of being in the 650-675k range just might be true. But we’ll see next week, when official numbers are announced.
