Review: 3.1/5 Best Songs: “Soundtrack 2 My Life”, “Sky Might Fall”, “Day n Nite”, “Enter Galactic”, “CuDi Zone”, “Up Up & Away” I know I’m really late on this review but I honestly don’t know what to make of this album. Since I got it in early September, I pretty much stopped listening to it […]
Review: 4.1 out of 5 Best Songs: “D.O.A.”, “Run This Town”, “A Star Is Born”, So Ambitious”, “Hater”, “Young Forever” The long awaited Jay-Z album is here and honestly it’s a little better than American Gangster and a hell out of lot better than Kingdom Come. It sort of reminds me of a revamped version […]
Review: 4.2 out of 5 Best Song: “Bagpipes from Baghdad”, “Same Song & Dance”, “Stay Wide Awake”, “Beautiful”, Underground”, “My Mom”, “Insane” Let me get this disclaimer out the way: I’ve never listened to an Eminem album front to back. Stans attack! I don’t think he’s the greatest rapper of all time as some wack […]
Review: 3.5 out of 5 Best Song: “Can’t Stop Me”, “What If”, “Letter to B.I.G.”, “Things I’ve Been Through”, “I Tried”, “Cartel Gathering” The self-proclaimed “Top 5 dead or alive and that just off one lp” now has a third album to add to his resume. To think Jadakiss has been dropping albums since 2001 […]
Review: 3.75 out of 5 Best Song: Rockin’ That Shit, Put It Down, Sweat It Out, My Love Do people still think The Dream and T-Pain are the same person? I know my girlfriend does and if she does that means about 80% of the public thinks so as well. Now I don’t know if […]

Best Songs: Say You Will, Welcome to Heartbreak, RoboCop, Street Lights, Coldest Winter, Pinocchio Story
Should a hip hop site actually review this non-rapping Kanye album? Why not. Who says hip hop has to be just “rap”, Kanye certainly doesn’t. On Mr. West’s foray into the world of broken beat/euro/emo music, Kanye brings a hip hop sensibility to the music that attempts to “create something never done in hip hop” (hmmm cough, cough, Andre 3000’s “Love Below”). Although, I found this album to be substantively refreshing and indicative of Kanye pushing the envelope, his singing is William Hung-esque at times. Now peep the breakdown crybabies! Read more

Best Songs: Ready for Whatever, On Top ff the World, Gimme Some, Live Your Life, Porn Star, Dead and Gone
Let’s be real T.I.’s last two albums King and T.I. Vs. T.I.P. were sub-par efforts that didn’t really showcase T.I.’s song making abilities but rather came off as rushed efforts to turn T.I. into a star. Don’t get me wrong, I still maintain that one of the best albums of the decade is T.I.’s third album Urban Legend -which if you are T.I. fan should check out. After his last album T.I. Vs T.I.P, I was pretty sure that the T.I. from the Urban Legend days was gone because T.I. had no obstacles in his life and seemed to be fresh out of passion and new ideas. When he was arrested for buying Bid laden guns and faced the possibility of doing football numbers I had a feeling he would come back harder than ever because he put out Urban Legend right after he came out of jail. Needless to say, my predication was bang on. Even though we have yet to hear Kanye’s upcoming 808’s & Heartbreak, Paper Trail is looking to be the most complete album of 2008. Now let’s get into the breakdown. Read more
