No this isn’t a “Karen Civil sucks” post, so if you’re here to see YoRapper take a number 2 on Karen please leave now. This is a YoRapper taking a number 2 on the state of hip hop taste-making. You see I learned from The Source’s battle with XXL many years ago that coverage can […]
Every unsigned rapper is looking for one thing: the co- sign from a well-established artist. It has been a tried and true way of “making it” for many years in hip hop. Everyone from Meek Mill to Drake to Kanye to Snoop Dogg received that co-sign that changed their career trajectory. But is a co-sign […]
I’m getting so tired of the amount of unsigned rappers that claim they’re better than *insert rapper of the moment*. Honestly, shut the fuck up. I’m so glad Kanye said, “And if you can do it better than me than you do it”. You’re not better than anyone. You tweet all day about your mixtape […]
The jury is still out on Rick Ross’ press conference. I need to watch it again because I watched it with my loud ass friends and we were laughing for most of it. You have to hand it to Ross, he does knows how to court attention, which as you know is one of the […]

No rapper is real. And why should they be? Have you ever heard a real rapper? There music sounds like shit. It doesn’t even sound like music. It’s not mixed, not mastered, NOT EDITED IN ANYWAY. If you can name a rapper that’s real then that rapper isn’t real.
So then what is “real”? Read more
