At the end of last month, we announced that we would be giving out $50 bucks to whoever made the most comments by December 1 and the results are in. It looks like resident commentator Fredrick Mobley will be taking home the cash.

I talked to Fred about winning the contest and he mentioned that he would be using the money to help provide food and warmth to the homelesss during the winter around the Harrisburg bus station which I believe is in Philly. I must admit I’m very impressed with what Fred is doing and am going to give one of my favorite charities Unicef a little something to help feed children during a food crisis such as the food crisis that happened in 2006.

I highly recommend for all those that can, to give any amount to the charities in your ‘hood this season even if it means cutting back a little on your Christmas spending.
