50 Cent on RapCity w/ Soulja Boy and Jim Jones

50 Cent on BET's RapCity

50 Cent making the promo rounds by appearing on BET yet again, this time on RapCity as a special guest host interviewing Soulja Boy, responsible for that crazy new dance, and that ballen’ hoodboss Jim Jones. From the interview we find out Soulja Boy produced “Crank Dat” using Fruity Loops, oh sorry, I mean FL Studio and in fact produced his whole album using the heavily pirated software (Been using that sheez since I was 14). So I actually gotta give the boy props on that end, (hiphop purists please don’t revoke my membership).

In addition, Jim Jones did not sign to G-Unit as many had speculated, it was merely a marketing ploy to get Dipset and Dipset’s fans to watch, or are they one in the same (I’m not sure anymore). Jim Jones did go on to say that he has been offered a new deal, likely with a major, for an awful amount of money, but didn’t go on to clarify as he didn’t want to jinx the deal. Ballen’.

Finally, in addition to Mobb Deep and Lloyd Banks being on set, Young Buck was acten’ a bit childish mimicking a certain Miami DJ, namely DJ Khalid. He kept screaming out DJ Khalid’s trademark phrases, “We the best” and “Listennn”, in which if Fifty really was the boss should have told him to shut up already. Or perhaps that was all staged. Also, Fifty will be hosting RapCity this Friday as well. We’ll see if he steps in the booth this time.

Looks as if 50 Cent is pulling out all the stops on this one folks. You gotta respect the hustle, but really its product over promotion, not the other way around Jimmy! Btw, that means, make sure you have a good product before you promote the hell out of it.
