According to reports, Canadian R&B singer has signed on to play Aaliyah in an upcoming movie based on the late singer’s life. The movie will begin shooting in August and will likely come out next year.

This is a great choice because I always thought Keshia Chante looked a little like Aaliyah, hopefully she can be able to channel some of the same sexy hood swag Aaliyah had. [Full disclosure: YoRapper had a serious crush on Aaliyah bitd.]

MSNBC’s Keith Olberman in a Special Comment last night unleashed a 12 minute long monologue against President George W. Bush and the Iraq war. He squarely blamed Bush for the 4000 plus deaths of American soldiers and 100,000 plus deaths of Iraqi civilians, he also attacked Bush’s false claim that Saddam possessed weapons of mass destruction and Bush’s comments that he gave up golf for the Iraq war. Former Democratic Presidential nominee John Edwards came out today to endorse Barack Obama and aside from saying some nice things about Obama he also said some nice things about Hilary Clinton in an effort to unite the party. You’ll notice when he first mentions Hilary, everyone starts booing, which is pretty funny, but Edwards manages to get people cheering for Clinton, before the Obama chant begins. Read more »
